Monthly Fish Weights
Each month the updated Fish Weights are published in the newsletter and added to this web page.
If you are a member and have 'caught the big one' have it weighed. There are two competitions running side by side during the year.
Each month there is a Fish of the Month (see calendar of events on the membership page for details) and all who catch one of the fish of the month species goes onto the All Rounder Board. Points are awarded for the heaviest down to the 'hey, you caught one' accordingly. At the end of the year the points are tallied to see who is the All Rounder for the year catching a diversity of fish from the river to the sea.
The second competition runs all year round and it is who has caught the heaviest of each species by the 30th June. Sections include MENS, LADIES, BOYS and GIRLS.
All fish are to be weighed at an official weigh station. These include:
Eden Amateur Fishing Club Inc clubhouse at Quarantine Bay, Eden.
Eden Outdoor and Marine - in the main shopping centre in Eden.
PJ's Servo - at the top of the hill as you head south out of Eden.
Kiah General Store - on the highway 12 minutes drive south of Eden.
Wonboyn General Store -
33kms south of Eden in the beautiful village of Wonboyn.
Shell Bait & Fuel Service Station - Betka Road, Mallacoota, Victoria.
Alpine Angler - Snowy Mountains Highway, Cooma.
It is the responsibility of every angler to make sure their fish receipt is correct when weigh in occurs.
All receipts are valid for two months only.
They may be handed in to the Weigh Master Mr Gordon Rugg at the monthly BBQ or to a committee member or mailed to EAFC PO BOX 125, EDEN NSW 2551.
